Good morning, Philippines. Good morning, world. Today is another blessings of life. I am thankful.
Last night I brought the kids to the community Parish Church to attend the Sunday anticipated holy mass. We go to church every Saturday night basically for four reasons: 1) to avoid a big crowd compared to the actual Sunday mass, 2) difficulty in finding a parking slot, 3) weather temperature is not too hot, and 4) we prefer to stay in the house all day during Sundays to have a good rest.
As a mother, Sunday for me is a preparation for what I needed to do for the incoming whole week and at the same time doing household chores for the children. Today, I schedule to sew their stuffed animals (comfort toys). As the kids tell me, I need them to be "surgically operated". I am still nauseous but promise is a promise. I commit to repair their toys today.
Also as I wake up this morning, I reflect to the Second Reading derived from 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 of last night's scripture reading. It says in part, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." I acknowledge that I am physically weak
right now. Yet, I realize that I am strong enough to pick up myself and fight to live for my children.
